About Us

California wine trips, shaped by experience.

We’re Meg & Rich Hoffman, and for more than 20 years we’ve explored California wine country together, visiting 183+ wineries along the way. WinePair Travels grew from that experience and a simple goal: helping travelers plan wine trips that feel personal, well-paced, and genuinely enjoyable.

It started with a question:
"Where should we go?”

For years, friends and family came to us when they were planning wine country trips. They wanted to know which region to choose, which wineries were worth visiting, and how to put everything together without spending hours researching.

We realized the trips we loved most weren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest-name wineries or the most reservations. They were the ones with the right mix of places, enough time to enjoy them, and a little room for discovery.

That idea became WinePair Travels.

Experience that goes beyond a Google search

We combine firsthand travel experience with professional wine-industry knowledge to help travelers make better choices before they ever arrive in wine country.

Wine Industry Knowledge

Our backgrounds include working with a Napa Valley winery, wine marketing, and wine cellar design and sales. We understand wine from several sides of the industry—and know how to make it approachable.

Firsthand California Travel

We’ve visited more than 183 wineries and continue exploring California wine regions ourselves. We pay attention to the details that can make or break a trip, from geography and drive times to tasting styles and overall atmosphere.

Practical Trip Planning

We turn that experience into realistic recommendations: where to go, how much to plan, what fits together geographically, and how to build a day that still feels like a vacation.

Better wine trips aren’t about visiting more wineries.

They’re about choosing the right region, the right experiences, and a pace that gives you time to actually enjoy where you are.

Choose the right region
Napa, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, Lodi, Temecula and California’s other wine regions all offer something different. The best trip starts with finding the one that fits you.

Plan for pace, not volume
Two or three thoughtfully chosen winery visits can create a much better day than racing through four or five reservations.

Leave room for the experience
Great wine trips include lunch, scenic drives, conversations, unexpected discoveries—and enough breathing room to enjoy them.
